Serengeti Balloon Safari

A Serengeti balloon safari is a magical adventure that combines exhilarating aerial views with unforgettable wildlife encounters. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast, nature photographer, or simply seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a balloon safari over the Serengeti promises an extraordinary journey filled with awe and wonder.

Balloon Safari Overview

Serengeti Balloon Safari starts at around 05:00 a.m. When you arrive, you will meet your pilot and witness your balloon being inflated and prepared for launch. After a thorough safety briefing and demonstration of boarding and landing position, you will board your balloon and take off. The schedule has been designed to fit in with all standard safari itineraries visiting the Serengeti National Park, hence the return at around 9:30 a.m. Allow clients to continue with other planned activities for the rest of the day.

  • Float in a Hot Air Balloon Safari over the famous Serengeti National Park with its enchanting scenery and vistas.

  • A Serengeti hot air balloon ride is an adventure that can easily be included in safari itineraries that include at least two nights in central Serengeti or Western Corridor Camps.

  • You take off at dawn, rising as the sun rises, and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take us.

Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary

Day 1 – 2: Tarangire National Park

Met on arrival by your private driver/guide and drive down to Tarangire NP to stay in Oliver’s Tented Camp for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. The beauty of Tarangire is that, while it is a fantastic little park, it is virtually invisible on the tourist trail. The area around the camp is great for walking and seeing the superb elephant populations for which it is famous with those in the know!

Day 3: Plantation Lodge, Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Drive through to the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive in the crater and overnight in Plantation Lodge on a full-board basis.

Set on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater itself, this superb little property offers excellent food, service, and accommodation for the night.

Day 4 – 6: Sayari Mara Camp, Serengeti National Park

Drive back to Manyara airstrip in time for the morning flight up to the north of the Serengeti. Met and transferred to Sayari Mara Camp to stay for 3 nights on an all-inclusive basis. From the middle of June until the end of October this camp is inundated by the migrating herds of wildebeest for which the Serengeti has become famous. These 3 days will be spent seeing some of the best game viewing possible in Africa!

Day 7 – 12: Kasha Boutique Hotel, Zanzibar

Dropped off by your driver for the flight down to Zanzibar. Met on arrival and transferred across the island to Kasha Boutique Hotel to stay for 5 nights on a half-board basis. Each of the private bungalows features a private view of the ocean and a large relaxation area. Set on a secluded beach, this is a slice of heaven.
